About the position

The Food Services Coordinator at BayCare Health System is responsible for overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring quality control, and managing staff functions such as training and performance evaluations. This role is essential in maintaining the standards of food preparation and service for patients and other customers, while also ensuring the security of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily food service operations including preparation, distribution, and service to patients, cafeteria, catering, and other customers.
  • Oversee and maintain quality control monitors and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Assist with team member functions including interviewing, performance appraisals, disciplinary action, coaching, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate team member orientation, training, and competency assessment.
  • Monitor the overall security of the department.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent GED.
  • ServSafe Manager food safety certification required within 1 year of hire.
  • Experience in food services is essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a coordinator role is preferred.
