  • Maintain compliance with nutritional standards and safe food handling practices.
  • Collaborate with custody staff to ensure the safety and security of the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Four years of experience in quantity cooking and food preparation tasks equivalent to a Cook.
  • Experience must include three years equivalent to a Cook E6 or two years equivalent to a Cook 7.
  • Possession of an associate's degree in dietetics, food services management, or related field may substitute for some experience.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in dietetics, food services management, or related field may substitute for all experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a correctional facility or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets.
