About the position

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Truck Staff to join our dynamic team at RUDE BOYZ JERK & SOUL CAFE in Chicago, IL. This full-time position is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food to our patrons. The role involves food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment, all while working in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and service.
• Serve customers efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
• Operate the Aloha POS system for order processing and payment transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the food truck, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and managing waste.
• Assist with cleaning duties post-service to ensure a tidy environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.

Requirements

• Culinary experience of 3 years is required.
• Driver's License is required.
• Food truck experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with POS systems, specifically Aloha, is advantageous.
• Food Handler Certification is required.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
