About the position

The Foodservice Key Account Specialist at H.T. Hackney plays a crucial role in supporting foodservice sales through effective marketing and merchandising of food service programs. This position involves managing assigned accounts, enhancing customer experiences, and collaborating with sales representatives across various territories. The specialist will also engage in product demonstrations, provide marketing materials, and offer strategic guidance to retailers to foster business growth.

Responsibilities

• Continuously manage and monitor assigned account(s) to maintain and improve customer experience.
• Consult with assigned accounts regarding new products, services, and company changes.
• Interact with internal departments to provide vital information for customer service.
• Assist with product demonstrations and discussions of applications.
• Provide marketing materials and value-added services to clients.
• Travel for customer visits, sales meetings, trade shows, and other sales functions.
• Offer suggestions and guidance to retailers to help grow their business.
• Utilize the online Foodservice Ordering site and Foodservice Ordering Guides.

Requirements

• Sales experience required, preferably in foodservice distribution, retail, or convenience store channels.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven history of building and training successful teams.
• Excellent negotiation skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel (driving) to retail locations within assigned territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of profits, margins, and ROI.
