About the position

The Foodservice Worker (Flex) - Dish Room/Sanitation position is responsible for performing routine tasks related to food portioning, serving, and cleaning within a clinical foodservice environment. This role emphasizes maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards while ensuring a professional service experience. The position is part-time and operates on a per diem basis, with hours varying based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks related to the portioning and serving of food.
• Clean and sanitize food service areas as required by management and regulatory agencies.
• Take and record temperatures of food and food storage areas.
• Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets.
• Weigh or measure ingredients for food preparation.
• Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in appropriate storage areas.
• Handle cash transactions as needed.
• Read and interpret patient meal tickets and confirm patient identifiers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Ability to follow special cleaning and trash handling techniques as required by regulatory agencies.
• Accountability for satisfying job-specific obligations and compliance with organization policies.
