About the position

The Footwear Coordinator at Sun & Ski Sports is a supervisory role focused on enhancing the customer experience and leading a team dedicated to exceptional service. This position involves managing store operations, training staff, and developing strategies to increase sales while maintaining a fun and engaging environment for both customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as required.
• Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service consistently.
• Train and develop the store team on selling strategies and continuous improvement.
• Increase store sales through effective communication of product knowledge and enthusiasm.
• Develop creative plans and strategies to boost store sales through business analysis and action planning.
• Identify problems and opportunities, presenting viable solutions.
• Maintain store visual presentation consistent with company standards to create an inspiring shopping experience.
• Ensure employees follow company policies and procedures.
• Lead, attend, and assist with various events, including product knowledge clinics.
• Promote Sun & Ski within the local community.
• Maintain communication with the General Manager, District Manager, and Home Office team.
• Manage store expenses and payroll, prioritizing and adapting to business needs.
• Minimize inventory loss and maintain accurate cash control.

Requirements

• 1+ years management experience preferred.
• Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
• 2+ years retail experience, preferably with snow sports or upscale patio furniture.
• Knowledge of business operations and shrink reduction.
• Talent in networking, recruiting, interviewing, training, and developing others.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for establishing strong working relationships with vendors, buyers, store team, and upper management.
• Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
