About the position

The Project Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing and developing engaging and effective instructional materials for various educational programs. This role involves collaborating with faculty and staff to create online and hybrid courses that enhance student learning experiences. The designer will utilize best practices in instructional design and technology to ensure that course content is accessible and aligned with learning objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with faculty to design and develop instructional materials for online and hybrid courses.
  • Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in course content and delivery.
  • Evaluate and revise existing course materials to improve effectiveness and accessibility.
  • Provide training and support to faculty on the use of instructional technologies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing and developing online learning materials.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and instructional design software.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multimedia production and graphic design.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices in online education.
  • Knowledge of current trends in instructional technology.
