About the position

The Ford Master Diesel/Gas Technician position at Texas Complete Truck Center involves diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas vehicles, particularly those with Powerstroke diesel engines. The role requires a self-motivated individual who is eager to grow within the company and contribute to a rapidly expanding automotive service facility.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair all incoming vehicle problems correctly and efficiently.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed (service notes, parts, fluids, and time associated with each vehicle).
• Daily communication with parts department to order parts and coordinate incoming parts.
• Daily communication with shop foreman and service writers with daily schedule to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Daily communication with shop foreman and service writers to explain repairs and provide estimates for unanticipated repairs.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• ASE certifications recommended but not required with adequate experience.
• Must have your own tools.
• Minimum of two years technician experience.
• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Must be computer literate -- familiarity and experience with computers, software, and tablet systems.
• Excellent reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Able to lift over 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Must pass pre-employment testing (background and drug test).
• Valid driver's license.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
• Organized with time management skills.
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
