About the position

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a Distribution Forecasting Analyst to join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida. This hybrid role will involve working closely with our Planning, Sourcing, and Logistics teams to manage both long- and short-term Distribution Inbound planning. The primary focus of this position is to maintain a comprehensive 12-month view of Inbound Units and Receiving capacity requirements across our 3rd Party Distribution Centers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building capacity plans that facilitate the efficient staging of Inbound Supply, ensuring that we can execute Customer Orders promptly and deliver best-in-class service. In this role, you will also support various special projects, run daily reports for our sites, conduct research, and handle general administrative tasks. A key responsibility will be to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reporting and dashboards that effectively communicate status and drive necessary adjustments. Collaboration will be essential, as you will work closely with the Allocation, Order Fulfillment, and Production Readiness teams to ensure that our long-range strategy aligns with operational needs and constraints from a Distribution perspective. The ability to create and generate exception-based reporting, as well as to build and analyze large data sets, will be critical for success in this position. You will report directly to the Director of Distribution and will be responsible for informing site leaders and Senior Management about capacity planning and operational strategies. Your understanding of the different Distribution sites within the Enterprise will be vital as you gather and create a capacity database to support both short- and long-range Inbound capacity planning by location and week. This role requires a proactive approach to respond to demand and supply changes, ensuring that we minimize open capacity and maintain operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of the different Distribution sites for the Enterprise.
  • Gather and create capacity database to support short- and long-range Inbound capacity planning by Location by week.
  • Develop and update capacity requirements/master distribution schedule weekly to ensure automation tools and reporting consider real-time capacity offerings and requirements by facility.
  • Partner with Sourcing and Logistics teams to ensure forecasts are provided correctly at the level of detail needed to compare requirements to capacity offerings.
  • Partner with tech/data teams to ensure capacity database aligns with Fanatics enterprise order and production data models.
  • Define and manage Distribution capacity parameters to drive decision making at the Enterprise level.
  • Drive reporting to key parties internally and externally in a timely fashion.
  • Partner with tech and cross-functional business teams to define optimal business rules and logic for automated allocation decisions based on customer SLA and facility capacity.
  • Identify current gaps in data, data integrity issues, and data timeliness issues that jeopardize capacity-related utilization.
  • Participate in weekly operational meetings with internal and/or external Distribution teams to discuss capacity plans, required staff, priorities, and issue resolution.
  • Respond to demand and supply changes in a timely and accurate manner to minimize open capacity and maintain efficiencies.
  • Develop and work with tech to build KPIs for Capacity and set goals for deliverables.
  • Analyze inventory positioning across internal and external fulfillment centers to ensure alignment with current or upcoming demand.
  • Create and improve current state processes, systems, tool sets, and business rules to support continuous improvement in customer SLA and profitability.

Requirements

  • 2 years of related inventory analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Logistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and constructive judgment during demanding situations.
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including data modeling, reporting, logic-based formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
  • Self-discipline to meet deadlines and execute structured processes consistently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with analytical tools such as MicroStrategy or other Business Intelligence tools.
  • Willingness to work extra hours during peak times.
