About the position

Roach & Lin, P.C. is a well-established foreclosure and real estate law firm located in Syosset, NY, specializing in Lender/Creditor side default services as well as real estate transactions. The firm represents Sellers, Purchasers, and Banks, and is also involved in REO and Short Sale closings. We are currently seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, particularly within the real estate sector, and will be familiar with relevant software such as Black Knight (LPS), Tempo, and Lenstar. This position offers immediate hire and training, with a salary that is commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the firm's operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for the firm
• Process accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Manage payroll and employee benefits
• Assist with tax preparation and compliance
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Support the firm's financial planning and budgeting processes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a law firm or real estate setting
• Knowledge of bookkeeping software, particularly Black Knight (LPS), Tempo, and Lenstar is a plus
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Nice-to-haves
