About the position

Stern, Lavinthal & Frankenberg, LLC, a prominent firm specializing in creditor's rights representation, is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to join our New Jersey office. This full-time position is integral to our expanding practice and involves direct support to the supervising attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foreclosure litigation, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The role requires proficiency in preparing various court filings, conducting title and tax searches, and managing calendars effectively. Additionally, the paralegal will coordinate Sheriff’s Sales with vendors and engage in high-level client interactions, necessitating familiarity with various client and court systems of record. Candidates should possess an Associate's degree or a Paralegal Certificate, along with substantial experience in full-service default and creditors' rights in both New Jersey and New York. Knowledge of the contested foreclosure process in New York is considered a plus. Responsibilities

• Prepare various court filings related to foreclosure cases.
• Conduct title searches and tax searches as required.
• Manage and coordinate calendars for court dates and deadlines.
• Coordinate Sheriff’s Sales with vendors and relevant parties.
• Engage in high-level client interactions and communications.
• Interface with various client and court systems of record.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or a valid Paralegal Certificate.
• Three or more years of related experience as a litigation/foreclosure paralegal.
• Experience in full-service default and creditors' rights in New Jersey and New York.
• Bankruptcy experience is a plus.
