About the position

Riverside Research is seeking a Foreign Material Acquisition (FMA) Program Manager with space systems experience to support the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This position is critical in managing the acquisition, exploitation, evaluation, and disposition of articles of interest. The FMA Program Manager will be part of a dedicated team that works closely with government and contract mission partners across the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD). The role requires a strong focus on synchronizing cost, schedule, and performance of projects while fostering team building, collaboration, and effective communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the customer in identifying FMA opportunities and supporting the planning and execution of various activities related to the acquisition and evaluation of materials. This includes providing recommendations on resource planning and programming to support FMA activities. The FMA Program Manager will also be expected to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will need to navigate complex problems and procedures while working independently or leading small teams. In addition to project management responsibilities, the FMA Program Manager will be tasked with making existing processes more effective and efficient, contributing to the overall success of the program. This position is located on-site at the client's facility, with travel required as necessary to fulfill job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the customer in identifying FMA opportunities
  • Support planning and execution of the acquisition, exploitation, evaluation, and disposition of articles of interest
  • Provide recommendations on planning and programming of resources to support FMA activities
  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with government and contract mission partners across the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Work independently or lead small teams to plan, administer, and monitor the execution of simultaneous projects
  • Apply strong interpersonal skills to elicit understanding of complex, ill-defined problems and procedures
  • Provide recommendations to make existing processes and procedures more effective and efficient
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, information technology, mathematics, or related fields
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience within the Intelligence Community and/or Department of Defense
  • Familiarity with the mission, structure and operations of the Services, Joint Staff, and combatant commands
  • Comfortable interacting with senior leaders within the Air Force, the Space Force, the Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction; effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in engineering, physics, computer science, information technology, mathematics, business, political science, history or related fields
  • Experience conducting or supporting operations, acquisition, or intelligence activities in support of space missions
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, DAU, INCOSE, or similar
