About the position

We are seeking a skilled Foreman/Field Superintendent/Field Supervisor to oversee the installation of fire life safety and low voltage systems in commercial buildings. This role requires hands-on experience in installation and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to lead installation teams and coordinate project activities to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings.
  • Assist with installations to move project along and/or close out a project.
  • Provide direction and guidance to installation teams on-site, coordinating project activities and communicating with the Project Manager.
  • Execute the installation project plan, including equipment delivery, troubleshooting, commissioning, and coordination with other trades.
  • Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
  • Meet with code officials to arrange for building permits and address code issues.
  • Coordinate project activities with other trades to optimize installation time.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors and building owners.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational product manuals.
  • Identify and assist with suggested solutions for efficient installation.
  • Assist customers on-site with questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate project status to management.
  • Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in the use and application of industry-related equipment, including MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Journeyman-level installation and troubleshooting experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry-related BICSI/NICET, and/or State Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in supervising installation teams.
