Responsibilities

• Install and repair aerial telephone cable
• Repair cut or damaged telephone cables
• Place telephone poles and anchors
• Use manual tools such as shovels, posthole diggers and other hand held tools
• Use mechanized equipment such as bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators, etc.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers
• Flag traffic when required
• Work on special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck
• 2-3 years experience of aerial construction methods and engineering requirements
• Self-starter
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company
• Experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather
• Effective communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
