About the position

The Foreman position at Austin Powder involves managing location assets and personnel to achieve established goals and strategies in alignment with the regional strategic plan. This role requires overseeing operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team to meet customer requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage location operations in support of company and division goals and strategies.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of documents as required by company policy and regulatory agencies.
  • Order, maintain, and inventory appropriate products, supplies, vehicles, and equipment for the location.
  • Communicate customer and community concerns to appropriate company personnel.
  • Manage the use, cost, and maintenance of fixed assets assigned to the location.
  • Maintain fixed asset lists of all equipment assigned to the location.
  • Adhere to site security standards and housekeeping guidelines.
  • Conduct timely inspection and maintenance of all location assets to control operational costs and maximize equipment availability.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment to meet customer requirements and operating budget.
  • Ensure adequate training and certification for location personnel.
  • Lead and develop a team to meet location goals and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring regulatory compliance (MSHA, OSHA, ATF, DOT, etc.).
  • Act as company liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and incidents.
  • Conduct required safety and health training for all location personnel.
  • Provide leadership in Emergency Response.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Prior budgetary responsibility.
  • Prior office experience (paperwork, filing, scheduling).
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Inventory Management software).
  • Time and priority management skills, including organizational skills.
  • Equipment/vehicle knowledge and operational skills, including maintenance.
  • Supervisory management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
