About the position
The Field Territory Manager position at Farmers Insurance is responsible for representing the Foremost® and Bristol West® Insurance brands within the Independent Agent Channel. This role involves analyzing agency activity, managing premium objectives, and serving as the primary contact for agency support. The position requires a focus on training, business development, and maintaining strong relationships with agencies to maximize product penetration and sales.
Responsibilities
- Analyze independent agency activity within a portfolio to understand trends and achieve premium and profit objectives.
- Serve as the primary contact for operations, systems, and policy training for agency products.
- Utilize technology to manage agency data and performance of the portfolio under management.
- Document agency contacts and competitor changes as they occur.
- Build and maintain agency/company relationships to maximize product penetration and sales.
- Coordinate with the book transfer unit for timely processing of applications and monitor hit ratios.
- Deliver ongoing training on products and systems for all product lines within the agency.
- Prospect for new agencies and business development opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Prepare and maintain market analysis, including competitor information for strategic input.
- Promote safety and comply with ergonomic standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years insurance sales or other industry sales experience.
- Attainment of CIC, CPCU or Insurance License preferred but not required.
