About the position
The Forensic Service Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing the forensic service operations during the 3rd shift at the Milledgeville facility. This role involves leading a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with forensic protocols, and maintaining the integrity of evidence handling and processing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the forensic service team during the 3rd shift.
- Ensure compliance with forensic protocols and procedures.
- Maintain the integrity of evidence handling and processing.
- Train and mentor new technicians on forensic practices.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in forensic science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in forensic services or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of forensic protocols and evidence handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in forensic science or related field.
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Familiarity with crime scene investigation techniques.
