About the position

The Forester/Work Planner at ECI Environmental Consultants is responsible for vegetation management, focusing on safety audits, inspections, and communication with customers. This role requires a commitment to safety and excellence while working independently in various outdoor environments. Responsibilities

• Conducts safety audits.
• Inspects rights-of-way (ROW) and easements for trim, removal, and chemical treatment requirements.
• Marks vegetation as required.
• Collects and reports data required by Line Clearing contractors.
• Notifies and communicates with customers as required.

Requirements

• Minimum thirty (30) semester credits or forty-five (45) quarter credits towards a degree from an accredited college/university OR 2-3 years of UVM experience without degree.
• Species and hazard tree identification skills, invasive species, and tree growth knowledge.
• Computer and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards.

Nice-to-haves

• ISA or equivalent certification preferred, but not required.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
