About the position

The Forging Account Manager at Collins Aerospace plays a crucial role in tactical supply chain management, focusing on ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials to support manufacturing and customer on-time delivery (OTD). This position involves validating demand forecasts, managing purchase orders, and negotiating with suppliers to maintain supply chain efficiency and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and relevant experience, contributing to the overall operational success of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer OTD
• Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule to validate demand
• Create purchase orders in accordance with requisitions and contractual requirements
• Expedite material as needed, negotiating and working changes within the supply base
• Ensure inventory goals and objectives are met
• Negotiate with suppliers for reschedules in support of inventory and business objectives
• Support the Supply Chain Sales and Inventory Planning (SIOP) process
• Assist with the Supplier Performance evaluation process
• Interface with Supplier Quality personnel to ensure supplier performance
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
• U.S. citizenship is required
• 1 year experience in supply chain, preferably in the aerospace industry
• 1 year experience & understanding of the Supply Chain Sales, Inventory and Planning (SIOP) process
• 1 year expertise in MRP systems, preferably SAP with understanding of Procurement parameters and usage
