The Forklift/Delivery Driver position at Houston Welders Supply LLC involves a combination of driving and warehouse duties. Responsibilities
- Maintain and safely operate all vehicles.
- Transport and daily inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
- Communicate with dispatchers.
- Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Obtain customer signatures for delivered goods.
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
- Complete and submit all Company paperwork including manifest, bill of lading, proof of delivery, and trip reports.
- Perform the physical process of loading and unloading products as assigned.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, performing minor repairs, or washing trucks.
- Operate forklift safely.
- Pull orders and load driver trucks based on dispatch routing and tickets.
- Unload and breakdown orders upon delivery.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a background test
- Interest in getting a Class B CDL with Hazmat
- No felonies
