About the position
The Forklift/Dock position at Air Ground Xpress involves loading and unloading freight in a fast-paced environment. The role requires adherence to safety policies and efficient handling of both palletized and non-palletized freight using various equipment. This full-time position starts at 12:30 PM and may require overtime, emphasizing teamwork and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company safety policies.
- Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate equipment.
- Safely climb in and out of trailers.
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs frequently and greater than 75 lbs occasionally).
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
- Work in adverse weather conditions and on a loading dock that may be slippery.
- Maintain prompt, daily attendance at assigned work location.
Requirements
- Prior dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry is a must.
- Prior forklift experience in a freight/less than truckload environment preferred.
- Prior experience loading and unloading trailers preferred.
- Ability to pass a company-paid background/drug test.
