About the position

The Forklift Driver position involves operating forklifts to assist in loading and unloading freight, organizing materials, and ensuring quality checks on shipments. This role is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and requires a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading freight
• Assist in receiving material and products against purchase orders, which includes reading blueprints/schematics
• Assist with organizing material placement both inside and outside the facility
• Assist with building wood shipping containers
• Act as quality check on incoming/outgoing shipments and products
• Assist with organizing shipments to the customer
• Fill in any production area needed
• Paint and assemble customer product
• Coordinate with various departments
• Inspect incoming shipments visually and dimensionally

Requirements

• 6+ Months Forklift experience within the last year or 2+ years of experience operating PIT in the past 5 years required
• Minimum 2 years experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Ability to complete PIT (Power Industrial Truck - Forklift) Onboarding process Successfully
• High School or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to read, write and speak English
