Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
• Conveys materials to or from storage.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Counts, weighs and records material received and issued.
• Opens containers, using hand tools.
• Receives and puts up materials in proper storage locations.
• Provides production lines with material in a timely manner.
• Visually inspects and compares parts for quality and documents results.
• Maintains machinery and work area clean.
• Completes production documentation and reports.
• Reports malfunctions to appropriate staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to operate a forklift and other industrial trucks safely.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills for counting and weighing materials.
• Attention to detail for quality inspection and documentation.
