About The Position

The Forklift Operator position at Rio Bravo International involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, stack, and retrieve materials within a warehouse or production facility. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Proficient in order picking, loading/unloading, and operating various types of forklifts including Hi-Lo and reach trucks
• Strong understanding of basic math skills for inventory management purposes
• Familiarity with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
• Experience in shipping/receiving processes is preferred
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Ability to operate a forklift safely in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory tracking
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors effectively
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
• Adherence to safety protocols and procedures

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using forklifts
• Safely transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility
• Perform order picking and fulfill customer orders accurately
• Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and ensure accurate stock levels
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and productivity
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions or damages
