About The Position

The Forklift Driver at Producers Rice Mill, Inc. is responsible for operating a forklift to manage packaged products, ensuring quality and safety during the loading process. This role involves inspecting carriers, maintaining product traceability, and adhering to safety protocols while working in varying temperatures.

Requirements

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• Willingness to climb up to 4 feet.
• Ability to lift up to 110 pounds.
• Willingness to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the day.
• Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to lift and take down packaged products on slip sheets and/or pallets.
• Inspect carriers (trucks, boxcars) to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Operate scan guns to maintain product traceability and inventory control.
• Maintain quality of products before, during, and after loading.
• Manually stack and wrap packaged products.
• Complete and maintain daily inspections of the forklift, including checking hoses and working conditions.
• Maintain electronic scanning of products and sanitation records.
