About The Position

The Forklift Lead at Mission Produce is responsible for overseeing the transportation of pallets within the facility, preparing orders for shipment, and supporting various operational duties. This role involves leading a team, ensuring safety and efficiency in warehouse operations, and maintaining equipment standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience as a certified and operating Forklift Driver.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 operation preferred.
• Ability and willingness to follow SOPs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work and communicate with supervisors.
• Ability to lift or move 25 pounds to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment from 34°F - 42°F.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily forklift inspections.
• Lead the staging of fruit bins and pallets for inspections, shipments, and inbound activities.
• Communicate the workflow between the office and floor staff.
• Oversee daily maintenance programs for forklift and scanner equipment.
• Reinforce the accuracy of adhering to inventory scanning procedures.
• Lead down-stacking and restacking of pallets.
• Lead other warehouse and operations duties as needed.
• Coach and guide FLO's weekly and monthly inventory counts.
• Guide the FLO team in general safety procedures and guidelines.
