About the position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a sit-down forklift to efficiently load and unload pallets in a warehouse environment. This role involves ensuring safety and compliance with company policies while supporting overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a sit-down forklift to load and unload pallets to and from trailers.
• Complete daily inspections of the forklift using a checklist to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Refuel tanks and follow procedures for changing out propane tanks or charging electric tanks.
• Verify the accuracy of loads on paper or electronically, including counts of good and bad loads.
• Move pallets to correct locations throughout the warehouse and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment at all times.
• Comply with all Propak policies and procedures, as well as federal and state safety rules.
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse as assigned to support overall team operations.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with team members and management.

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Must pass Propak's forklift certification test.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
