About the position
The Forklift Operator II at Medtronic is responsible for safely operating complex powered material handling equipment to facilitate product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment. This role emphasizes product safety, quality, legality, and integrity, ensuring that all operations meet customer expectations and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate complex powered material handling equipment including Order Picker, Turret, and Drexel.
- Perform full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
- Retrieve and put away pallets in a narrow aisle bulk rack storage system.
- Conduct quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions.
- Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, using hand or equipment.
- Sort, build, and wrap products to pallets to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
- Maintain accuracy of storage locations through daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks.
- Perform other distribution work functions as needed based on business volume.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years' experience with daily power equipment operations preferred; minimum 6 months required.
- Ability to operate powered complex material handling equipment.
- Must meet all PPE and fall protection requirements.
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service driven and strong team player.
