We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Forklift Operator. This role is responsible for operating and driving a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment, or materials in a productive and safe manner, ensuring raw materials are available and flowing through the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Positions forklift over or around loaded pallets, boxes, products, or materials and transports load(s) to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Inventories materials on work floor and supplies workers with materials as needed.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Completes the Forklift Inspection Book/Log at the beginning of shift.
  • Shrink wraps up to 60 pallets per shift.
  • Reports to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
  • Keeps working area organized and clean.
  • Uses a scanner gun to inventory transactions.
  • Safe house keeping.
  • Organizes and secures stored materials and parts at designated area.
  • Remains current on forklift training and certification as required by supervisor, manager, and/or Igloo Safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum six (6) months previous stand-up and sit-down forklift experience.
  • Working knowledge of English; Able to read labels and numbers, material lists.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs. good hand/eye coordination. Able to stack four pallets high.
  • Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months. High noise requiring use of hearing protection.
