About the position
Randstad is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join a warehouse team in New Berlin, WI. The role involves operating forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production facilities, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) including sit down, reach truck, cherry picker, layer pick, etc.
- Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
- Accurately pull orders based on location, part number, batch and quantity.
- Placard, weigh, and record dimensions on appropriate paperwork.
- Sort outbound freight based on carrier lane assignments.
- Over-box pallets, wrap pallets and strap pallets in preparation for shipment.
- Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock.
- Keep shipping supplies organized and communicate on supply needs.
- Complete daily forklift inspection sheet prior to operation of forklift.
- Complete other duties or tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Successful performance on a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Test.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with RF scanner operation.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
