About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge and proficiency in fresh produce preferred.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Dependable, team player, hardworking and an effective communicator.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull boxes and bags - minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Unloading and organizing the inventory.
• Inventory rotation.
• Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures.
• Keep the warehouse tidy by picking up scraps, plastic wrappers, and broken pallets.
• Checking the quality control of the product.
• Comply with all warehouse safety regulations.
• Examine and inspect stock items for any defects.
• Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport the product.
• Assist loading trucks safely with correct items for that truck's route.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
