About the position

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and stored correctly within our distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers, reach trucks, and order pickers, to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments with precision while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize pallet jacks for transporting goods across the warehouse floor.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with warehouse management to optimize workflow and inventory control.

Requirements

• Proficiency in operating various forklifts, including cherry pickers and reach trucks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and distribution center operations.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and workplace safety.
• Experience in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
• Attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management.
