About the position

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join the Blundstone USA team in Quakertown, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks and pallet jacks, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This position requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain quality control and accuracy of shipments.
• Properly palletize, shrink wrap, and load shipments.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional manner when dealing with co-workers.
• Contribute to team effort by assisting other areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• At least 1 year of prior experience operating forklifts is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills — verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving skills.
