About the position

The Royal Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for the Weekend Shift at their Seymour, IN facility. This role involves safely operating and maintaining forklifts, assisting in training, and ensuring the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse. The position offers a unique schedule where employees work 36 hours but are paid for 40, emphasizing the company's commitment to employee satisfaction and growth.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and care for the forklift.
• Assist in training new hires on forklift operations.
• Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
• Turn in maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Stretch wrap units, palletize, and use corner protectors as required.
• Adhere to daily production schedules and optimize them as needed.
• Unload trailers while checking product quality and quantity.
• Keep the warehouse organized and clean, including sweeping trailers.
• Use the Top Gun program for loading/unloading trucks and inventory management.
• Perform regular cycle counts on stock and participate in inventories.
• Work overtime as required and perform machine cleanup.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Forklift Operator License required.
• 2-4 years of work experience preferred, especially in the corrugated industry.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and use a tape measure.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
