About the position

The Forklift Operator at Natura PCR is responsible for operating Power Industrial Trucks to move materials within a warehouse environment. This role focuses on ensuring efficient material handling, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety standards while contributing to the company's commitment to environmental solutions through innovative technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate Power Industrial Trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects.
• Weigh materials or products and record data on tags or labels.
• Categorize, grade, and store materials using a Kanban system.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment.
• Signal other operators for loading or unloading in tight spaces.
• Deconstruct plastic bales on a production line as per quality standards.
• Maintain a continual flow of material on the production line.
• Communicate with the quality controls department regarding contamination issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and materials used.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and at least 5 years of forklift driver experience or material movement experience with other types of Power Industrial Trucks.
• Previous training by OSHA standards for PITs under 29CFR1910.178 or formal training on forklift operations.
• Ability to pass a pre-hire driving assessment for operational knowledge of PITs.
• Demonstrate high levels of attention to detail and situational awareness.

• Strong communication skills with teammates.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
