About the position

The Forklift Operator at CTDI is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment to move, locate, stack, and count products within a logistics and engineering environment. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory control and ensuring timely shipment of products, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations team.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to appropriate locations.
• Stack and store product in designated areas using a forklift or other powered equipment.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment.
• Ensure that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
• Move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security.
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Conduct cycle counts as requested within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Requirements

• At least 1-year experience operating a forklift and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Willingness to become forklift certified for the site.
• Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in Excel and general computer knowledge.
• Ability to work in varying facility conditions.
• Availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends, and potentially holidays.
