About the position
The Forklift Operator position at Basalite Building Products, LLC involves supporting the yard in loading and unloading materials in the production area. Responsibilities
- Support the yard in all areas of loading and unloading in the production area.
- Demonstrate and uphold the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of truck loading experience required.
- On-the-job training experience is required to be forklift certified by Basalite.
- Good communication skills and ability to listen and follow directions.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills are required.
- Working knowledge of plant operating and inventory systems is necessary.
- Ability to operate a forklift and load/unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles efficiently, quickly, and safely in all kinds of weather.
- Regular attendance is required.
