About the position

The Forklift Operator position at Aerotek involves operating powered industrial trucks (P.I.T.) equipped with lifting devices to move various materials within a manufacturing facility. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient handling of materials such as metal coils, drums, and pallets, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive a P.I.T. equipped with lifting devices to move materials.
• Make cuts of the strip and visually check the appearance at the Rewind.
• Monitor safety PPE, housekeeping, and lift materials up to 50lbs.
• Prepare and mix paint drums, and clean pans.
• Remove coated coils from the coil cart for weighing.
• Assist Coater Technicians with paint changes.
• Enter data into the computer system.

Requirements

• Experience operating P.I.T. equipment with lifting devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
