About the position
The Forklift Operator position at DP World involves working in a traditional warehousing environment, where the individual will be responsible for picking parts according to customer orders and ensuring efficient movement and organization of materials. This role offers exposure to customer interactions and is designed to support career growth within a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities
- Work in a traditional warehousing environment while picking parts according to customer orders.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
- Move items from bulk containers or racks, shelves, or bins according to customer requirements.
- Scan materials and move them according to standard work instructions where applicable.
- Organize the facility or warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Work required scheduled hours to meet production goals and Key Performance Indicators of the site, with a schedule that may fluctuate based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Prior forklift certification.
- Ability to perform repetitive duties within designated parameters of standard work and work accurately.
- Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
