About The Position

The Forklift Operator at Talke USA Inc. is responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently while adhering to safety and operational procedures. This role involves various tasks related to material handling, including loading and unloading containers, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Must have experience operating a gas-powered sit-down forklift.
• Must have experience operating a diesel-powered forklift.
• 2 years' experience working with forklifts.
• Certified on a forklift.
• Must be able to double stack single pallets (preferable).
• Container loading experience (preferable).
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Must be able to do basic math.
• Must have experience moving large loads.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure all safety, environmental, and operational procedures are followed.
• Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
• Perform pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and report any damage or defects.
• Pick pallets for orders and load containers as needed for outbound operations.
• Bin-in new pallets for inbound operations.
• Perform pallet movements to maintain yard health for inventory operations.
• Conduct pallet movements needed to maintain production for P&S and PRM operations.
• Take necessary precautions to avoid damaging customer, company, or third-party property.
