About the position
The Forklift Operator position at Saddle Creek Logistics Services involves operating stand-up forklifts to load, unload, sort, label, stack, stage, and transport products within a distribution center or warehouse. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work cooperatively with minimal supervision. This full-time position is scheduled for the 2nd shift, from Tuesday to Friday, 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks considering product size, weight, and height.
- Inspect and document the condition of industrial equipment.
- Work productively receiving and picking products with minimal supervision.
- Provide outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
- Maintain the condition of the distribution center and warehouse work area.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by distribution center or warehouse management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- At least 1-year experience on a stand-up forklift preferred; experience with clamp attachment is a plus.
- Ability to work continuously standing for long periods.
- Experience with RF equipment preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime and adjust schedule as needed.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
