About the position

The Stand Up Forklift Operator position at Ryder involves working in a warehouse environment handling medical supplies. The role is focused on operating stand-up forklifts and performing various warehouse functions while ensuring safety and efficiency. This is a permanent, full-time position with a second shift schedule, emphasizing teamwork and communication in a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough and dependable with good attendance record.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
