About the position

As the Grocery Support Operations - Project Manager at LaMain Industries, you will lead facility service teams to ensure the efficient operation of a US military commissary. This role combines leadership, project management, and hands-on support, requiring a deep understanding of commissary operations and standards. You will manage daily operations, oversee project execution, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards, all while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily service operations focusing on planning, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Oversee and support a diverse on-site workforce performing custodial, shelf stocking, and warehousing activities.
  • Maintain accurate employee time and attendance records and coordinate training and safety programs.
  • Provide training, motivation, mentorship, and constructive feedback to staff.
  • Propose and implement innovative ideas to enhance productivity within the facility.
  • Commit to high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering superior service.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for operational communications with internal teams and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to federal regulations, store directives, and organizational policies.
  • Manage special projects and conduct risk assessments to meet objectives.
  • Compile and submit daily operational data and ensure quality control standards are met.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role, preferably in military/government contracting, warehousing, or retail environments.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data management tools and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to operate and be certified in all warehouse equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and handle products weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail or supply chain management.
  • In-depth knowledge of military commissary operations and federal contractor processes.
