About the position

The Finance Manager at FORTS Logistics will oversee all aspects of the company's administrative and accounting operations, playing a crucial role in the organization's growth and ability to respond to disaster situations. This position requires a highly skilled individual proficient in QuickBooks and various financial management software, responsible for full cycle bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the FORTS Logistics administrative/accounting operation.
  • Manage full cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Process accounts payable transactions including bills, credit card charges, and invoicing clients.
  • Accurately post and classify daily receivable transactions and maintain records of all receivables.
  • Process payroll using ADP, including data entry and new-hire onboarding.
  • Utilize Connecteam software to track staff hours and oversee expense reimbursements.
  • Track project key performance indicators and conduct variance analysis.
  • Meet with Operations Managers regarding project expenses.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
  • Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to leadership.
  • Oversee quarterly tax payments and coordinate with external CPA for year-end closing.
  • Manage company investment accounts and provide summaries to leadership.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as necessary.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business management.
  • 10 years of experience in financial management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with project/cost accounting.
  • Leadership and motivational skills to direct the financial team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Connecteam software.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with Trello.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in emergency logistics or disaster response sectors.
  • Familiarity with advanced financial reporting techniques.
