About the position

The Foster Care Case Manager Supervisor at StepStone Family & Youth Services is responsible for overseeing the case management team, ensuring the delivery of quality care to clients. This role involves mentoring and coaching team members, managing workflow, and maintaining compliance with documentation standards. The supervisor may also handle occasional cases and assist in foster parent evaluations, all while fostering a respectful and cooperative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the case management team and ensure workflow accuracy and timeliness.
• Mentor and coach team members in completing work assignments.
• Occasionally carry a case and complete foster parent re-evaluations as needed.
• Document case-related information clearly and teach others to do so.
• Assist in interpreting and delivering case and court-related information.
• Maintain a positive attitude and respect for peers and clients in a challenging environment.
• Report to work on time and ready to work.
• Work cooperatively in a team setting and show respect to others.
• Communicate barriers to task completion to supervisors in advance.
• Ensure 100% staff compliance with OPM and RCCL standards for child visits and documentation.
• Ensure timely reporting of critical incidents and significant events in data reporting systems.
• Update GA Score and SHINES with no overdue tasks or missing child visits.

Requirements

• BSW/BA in Human Services or MSW/MA in Human Services preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years direct experience in the child welfare field.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
