About the position

The Foster Care Case Manager position at Community and Family Services Foundation (CFSF) involves providing support and case management for foster families and children in care. The role focuses on establishing communication with various stakeholders, maintaining client records, and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements. The Case Manager will manage a caseload of up to 25 children, acting as a liaison between foster families and DCYF workers, and will be responsible for implementing trauma-informed care approaches.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain open communication with DCYF staff, CFSF staff, foster families, and biological parents and children in care.
• Complete necessary reporting, maintain client records, and document all meetings and contacts.
• Maintain a good working relationship with foster parents, clients, and CFSF employees.
• Complete 30 hours of training per year related to clients, case management, and social work.
• Manage a caseload of no more than 25 children.
• Act as a main support to foster families.
• Act as a liaison between foster families and DCYF workers.
• Complete home visits and attend weekly clinical oversight meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field.
• 1-2 years of field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of WACs and minimum licensing requirements.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Reliable transportation and appropriate level of auto liability insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves
