About the position

As a Foster Home Developer, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the foster care and adoption process, ensuring a nurturing environment for children in need. This position involves working closely with families and agencies to promote the well-being of children, utilizing your expertise in child welfare, social work, and childcare. Your responsibilities will include recruiting potential foster families, conducting home visits, and maintaining compliance with agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train potential foster families
• Complete home visits to ensure potential family homes are appropriate to foster
• Recruit potential foster families
• Track information as it is submitted to the agency to ensure that an incomplete file has reached compliance
• Maintain the agencies Criminal Background Check spreadsheet for Staff & Foster Families
• Maintain The 'Past Due' Spreadsheet monthly for current foster parents
• Maintain the Training, Fire/Health Inspections due dates, and Auto Insurance/TDL expirations Spreadsheet for all Foster Families

Requirements

• Child welfare knowledge

• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
• Bachelor's degree
• 2 years of experience in child welfare
