About the position

The Foster Lake Aquatics Technician position is a full-time role focused on learning and executing the operational aspects of Foster Lake & Pond Management. The technician will be responsible for understanding company policies, operations, and software platforms while upholding the company's core values and vision. This role requires a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks related to aquatic vegetation management, equipment maintenance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient in FLPM policies and embody company Core Values and Vision within the first 3 months.
• Follow policies and procedures written in the employee handbook at all times.
• Participate in scheduled safety meetings and abide by FLPM safety policies.
• Assist and learn all FLPM operations, including Preventative Maintenance, Construction & Repair Services, and Corrective Maintenance.
• Learn and become proficient in basic equipment and facility maintenance by the end of year one.
• Use company software platforms effectively, including time tracking and vehicle maintenance systems.
• Attend and pass required certifications and training opportunities within the first year of employment.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other employees.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school degree or GED required.
• An associate degree or related experience in landscaping, environmental management, water resources, fisheries science, or stormwater device maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to learn and comprehend the function of stormwater devices and maintenance expectations.
• Familiarity with computers and general business software is desirable.
• Basic ability to operate and maintain hand tools, small equipment, and pumps or willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain a positive attitude.

• Experience in aquatic vegetation management.
