About the position

UMFS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive array of programs that support children, teens, and parents as they navigate challenges. Our mission is to equip families with the necessary tools for success, enabling them to achieve their goals. As a national leader in assisting young people and families, we proactively identify unmet social service needs and develop partnerships to address these needs. Our regional centers offer individualized treatment for children and teens who are placed out of home and have special emotional, behavioral, or medical needs. These youth and families are supported by a collaborative team of specially trained clinical staff and foster parents, who provide daily behavioral health interventions that align with each child's individualized treatment plan. We are seeking a Foster Parent Recruiter to develop and implement creative strategies and activities aimed at identifying and engaging qualified new resource families statewide for our Treatment Foster Care program. This role is crucial in ensuring that we have the right families in place to support the children and teens in our care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foster care, excellent public speaking skills, and the ability to independently plan and organize their time and activities effectively.
