About the position

The Foundation Executive Assistant/Database Administrator role at Children & Families of Iowa is a part-time position focused on providing administrative support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and the Foundation Board of Trustees. This position involves managing various administrative functions related to fundraising and board activities, as well as overseeing the database and donor records. The role requires a commitment of 18 to 24 hours per week, with a preference for candidates willing to work occasional nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CDO/VP of Development and Communications with daily administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate administrative functions related to fundraising and board activities.
  • Provide support to the Foundation Board of Trustees and board committees.
  • Manage the database and donor records using Raiser's Edge software.
  • Process Foundation revenue and expenses accurately and timely.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Proofread and edit documents as needed.
  • Function as a receptionist for the Foundation team.
  • Manage volunteers for marketing, fundraising, events, and projects.
  • Serve as a backup for the CEO's executive assistant when necessary.
  • Participate in special events, focusing on coordination of payments and ticket sales.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with a minimum of two years' experience in administrative work.
  • Experience handling highly confidential data.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Training and knowledge of Raiser's Edge software is preferred.
